Calling Broadway was founded by childhood friends, David “Rades” Radeschi and Michael “C” Segreto in Montreal.. The two had an instantaneous musical bond. Being a vocalist and guitarist throughout the course of his adolescent years, Rades was quickly recognized in the music scene as both a talented songwriter and a natural-born front man. Michael added his own flavour to the mix, a bassist and songwriter. In 2008, Dan D’Urbano joined Calling Broadway as lead guitarist. With an extensive musical background in blues and rock, Dan brought forth his own level of creativity to the band.

Throughout the eight long years of numerous band experiences, hard work and dedication, the band experienced a series of life difficulties, family issues and other obstacles that will never be forgotten. “Life is a rollercoaster. Expect the unexpected and just stay positive the whole ride through”, quotes Segreto. Since Rades’s vocal changing injury, the band has never been stronger mentally and physically.

“I remember when doctors had told me that I would be lucky to even speak again. I never stopped believing that good things would happen for me. It’s not how hard you fall, but how fast you get back up”, says Rades after his successful recovery. “This is what our music is about. We are trying to send a message that the road to success is in the eyes of the one behind the wheel- as long as you’re driving strong you can go anywhere”
