Junkie and the Spider is a canadian alternative rock band formed in 2007. After releasing their first EP in late 2007 the members: TJ Vandervelden (vocals), Francis O’keefe (guitar), Scotty Cranham (drums) and Doug Baldwin (guitar) destined themselves to find a bridge between their influences such as “3 Days Grace”, “Linkin Park”, “No Doubt”, to create something yet untouched. In 2009 Dave Daley took the fifth and final member seat in Junkie and the Spider spiralling them into a whirlwind of untouched melodies. Within each song on the new 2009 EP “Never did mind about the little things” the members shift back and forth from lyrical lullaby to crushing melodic rock. The band fronted by a powerhouse, yet whimsical female (TJ Vandervelden) have made giant leaps in not only fusing different genres, but making their music come to life with interpretive attitudes on and off the stage.

“War”
© 2009 Junkie and the Spider
The distance from my heart is getting clearer
Oh my god I said looking straight in the mirror of my head
The distance from my heart is getting clearer
Oh my god I said all I care about is dying in my head
And I don’t think I can stop myself from falling again
Chorus 1
Over and over and over and over and over again – over agin
I don’t wanna break these chains no no not again
Over and over and over and over and over again
I don’t wanna break these chains again
Oh my god I said looking straight in the mirror of my head
(you’re dead) did ya hear that – the voice is getting clearer
Oh my god I am a little lost but I’m not dead – I’m not dead
I’m just lost inside the regret
Chorus 2
Over and over and over and over and over again
I don’t wanna break these chains no no not again – I don’t wanna break, I don’t wanna break
Over and over and over and over and over again
I don’t wanna break these chains no no not again I don’t wanna break, I don’t wanna bereak
Bridge
Never mind what they say everything is relative in some way
In your mysterious ways in the mysterious games that you play
Never mind what they say you’re gonna do it you’re on way anyway
When ya say that ya feel bad still it won’t go away
Chorus 3
Over and over and over and over and over again
I don’t wanna break these chains no no not again – I don’t wanna break, I don’t wanna break
Over and over and over and over and over again – I don’t wanna break, I don’t wanna break
Outro
Oh my god I said looking straight in the mirror of my head
There’s a distance in my heart
